Expanded insurance options give more Michigan individuals and families a path to specialized, compassionate mental health care.
When someone is living with serious mental illness, finding the right level of care can change the direction of that person’s life and bring hope to an entire family,”
HOLLY, MI, UNITED STATES, October 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Finding the right treatment for someone living with serious mental illness can feel overwhelming. For many families, it is also deeply personal. Rose Hill Center is pleased to now accept Health Alliance Plan by Henry Ford Health (HAP), with this addition, Rose Hill Center now accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield/Blue Care Network, Priority Health and Health Alliance Plan by Henry Ford Health, giving more Michigan individuals and families an opportunity to explore care that can lead to greater stability, independence and hope.— Jim Kubicuk CEO of Rose Hill Center
For families watching someone they love struggle with a serious mental health condition, searching for treatment often brings uncertainty, difficult decisions and concerns about cost. Expanding our insurance relationships is one way Rose Hill can help more people consider the specialized care and support they need.
“Every person who comes to Rose Hill brings a unique story, individual strengths and hopes for the future,” said Jim Kubicek, CEO of Rose Hill Center. “By accepting Health Alliance Plan by Henry Ford Health, we can welcome more individuals and families who are looking for support. We want them to know they do not have to navigate this journey alone, and that recovery is possible.”
Opening More Doors to Care Across Michigan
Adding HAP builds on Rose Hill’s growing insurance relationships and opens another possible path to treatment for individuals and families across Michigan. A 2025 analysis by Mark Farrah Associates found that Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan represents approximately 50% of Michigan’s health insurance market. Corewell Health, which offers Priority Health plans, represents approximately 13%. Together, the two organizations account for approximately 63% of the market.
Health Alliance Plan by Henry Ford Health extends that reach even further. HAP reports serving approximately 450,000 members across Michigan, with a provider network that includes 96% of providers in the Lower Peninsula.
Every new insurance relationship gives another family a reason to ask, “Could Rose Hill be an option for us?”, our Admissions team works directly with families to verify benefits and explain the options available to them.
“When someone is living with serious mental illness, finding the right level of care can change the direction of that person’s life and bring hope to an entire family,” said Kubicek. “By working with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Priority Health and now Health Alliance Plan by Henry Ford Health, we are giving more people the opportunity to explore treatment, rebuild their lives and move toward greater stability and independence.”
Helping People Build a Life Beyond a Diagnosis
For more than 30 years, Rose Hill Center has cared for adults with serious mental health conditions on its peaceful 400-acre campus in Holly, Michigan. Our residential and transitional programs combine psychiatric care, therapy, medication management and practical skill-building to help each person move toward greater independence. We see the person first, not the diagnosis, and tailor support to each resident’s emotional and physical well-being, relationships, daily living skills, vocational goals and connection to the community.
Depending on individual needs, treatment may include individual and group therapy, experiential therapy, psychiatry, medication management, case management and therapeutic work teams. Residents also practice managing responsibilities, communicating effectively, building healthy relationships, coping with stress and emotions, and making thoughtful decisions. Rose Hill’s working farm, greenhouse, walking trails and spaces for fitness, music and other activities extend this learning beyond traditional treatment settings, offering hands-on opportunities to discover strengths, develop practical skills and find purpose through meaningful work and connection with others.
As recovery progresses, Rose Hill’s Transitional Living program provides a supportive bridge between residential treatment and more independent living. Residents live in on-campus townhouses while continuing to receive support, strengthen life skills and participate in employment, education, vocational training or community activities. Ultimately, our goal extends beyond helping people manage symptoms: we want each person to rediscover confidence, establish meaningful routines and move forward with a stronger sense of hope and possibility.
Support at Every Stage of Recovery
Rose Hill Center serves adults age 18 and older who are experiencing serious mental health challenges, including schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Our continuum of care includes Residential Rehabilitation, Extended Residential, Transitional Living, Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient services.
For clinicians, hospitals, therapists and other referral partners, broader insurance participation means more opportunities to explore whether Rose Hill’s compassionate, structured approach is a good fit for the individuals and families they serve.
“Asking for help takes courage, and choosing a treatment program can feel daunting,” said Kubicek. “Our Admissions team is here to listen, answer questions and help families understand their options. Even if someone is not sure whether Rose Hill is the right fit, we welcome that first conversation.”
*Insurance coverage varies by plan. As part of the admissions process, Rose Hill verifies benefits so each prospective resident and family can better understand their specific coverage.
