Altimetrik Opens Healthcare & Life Sciences Center of Excellence to Accelerate AI Innovation
Centre’s first launch is PharmaOS, an agentic framework with 35 pre-built agents that takes clients from concept to validation in one week
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, October 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Altimetrik, an AI engineering company, has opened a Healthcare & Life Sciences Center of Excellence (CoE) in Hyderabad, India, to accelerate AI innovation for its clients. Its first launch is PharmaOS, Altimetrik’s agentic AI framework for life sciences, built on Altimetrik’s ALTi AIOS™ operating system, which takes clients from a defined use case to a validated, governed AI agent in one week. More offerings will be built alongside clients across the industry. The CoE brings together AI engineers and life sciences specialists to build AI agents that meet regulatory requirements and trace every output to trusted sources. The CoE will support work across drug discovery, clinical development, commercial operations, manufacturing, patient engagement, and care delivery.
Raj Sundaresan, Chief Executive Officer, Altimetrik said: “Enterprises want AI that delivers meaningful outcomes, and in healthcare and life sciences, that means engineering solutions that are grounded in industry context, regulatory requirements, and trusted data. PharmaOS is our first offering from the Healthcare and Life Sciences Center of Excellence, designed to help global customers build and scale governed AI agents across critical workflows. Hyderabad’s deep pharma expertise and technology talent make it the right home for this centre, bringing together the capabilities needed to deliver practical, industry-specific innovation.”
PharmaOS gives life sciences teams more than 35 pre-built agents across commercial operations, clinical and regulatory review, manufacturing, responsible AI, and data modernisation. Each agent carries industry knowledge, regulatory requirements, and evidence standards. The framework connects the agents to enterprise processes and trusted data, so they can support workflows such as healthcare provider (HCP) engagement planning, clinical study report review, batch-release readiness, and GxP compliance checks.
PharmaOS runs on Altimetrik’s ALTi AIOS™ framework, which keeps the operating layer separate from the underlying model. Because of that separation, clients can use platforms such as Google Cloud, Gemini Enterprise, and OpenAI ChatGPT Enterprise and switch models without re-engineering their agents.
That foundation is what lets Altimetrik offer clients a path from concept to validation in one week. Given a defined business challenge, agreed data access, and a bounded workflow, Altimetrik’s engineers and life sciences specialists turn those agents into a working workflow on the client’s own data, tied to a measurable business KPI. Clients can assess it in its enterprise context and decide on the next stage of investment.
Ramji Vasudevan, Head of Healthcare and Life Sciences at Altimetrik, commented: “Across healthcare and life sciences, organisations must move faster without compromising patient safety or compliance. AI can transform that value chain, but only when it works within a regulated and governed environment and earns the trust of the teams who own the outcomes. PharmaOS is our first offering from the centre, giving clients a validated agent on their own data in a week, and the start of a broader portfolio we’ll co-create with clients across the industry.”
To engage with the CoE, clients can begin with a scoped, one-week co-innovation sprint on their hardest problem, start with a single high-value PharmaOS agent on an existing workflow, or see PharmaOS run live on their choice of enterprise AI platform.
Dr Vivek Jha, Global Healthcare Pharma Leader and Co-Founder of DANRICX, added: “In pharma, AI’s value comes from helping our teams work faster while preserving trust in the evidence and accountability for decisions. PharmaOS brings together capabilities we look for: agents built for life sciences workflows, outputs traceable to trusted sources, and human oversight. This foundation supports the responsible use of AI in developing pharmaceutical products, building trust in technology to serve the larger purpose of healthcare and life sciences, improving patient care and outcomes.”
Altimetrik chose Hyderabad to place the CoE close to the pharmaceutical companies and contract research organisations whose workflows will shape its life sciences offerings, and to draw on the city’s pool of clinical, regulatory, quality, and engineering specialists.
The CoE is located within Altimetrik’s 22,000-square-foot office at Phoenix Equinox in Gachibowli, near HITEC City, which is home to more than 300 Altimetrik employees. Its launch extends Altimetrik’s growth in India following its recent expansion in Pune, which took its global workforce past 10,000.
